Tomatoes "Savarim"

Ingredients:

2 lb/1000 g beef tomatoes
1 small tin tomato paste
3fl oz/100 g cream
salt
freshly ground pepper
ground ginger
1/2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp cognac or brandy
Cooking time about 30 minutes
Approx 150 kcal = 627 kj


Preparation:

Wash the tomatoes and take off the stalks. Rinse with boiling water, skin and quarter. Place the tomatoes in the moistened RÖMERTOPF : Whisk the remaining ingredients into the cream, mix thoroughly and pour over the tomatoes. Close the lid.
