Turnips

Ingredients:

2 lb/1000 g turnips
2 tbsp vinegar
salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 oz/40 g unsalted butter
1 1/2 oz/50 g cream
freshly ground pepper
Cooking time about 45 minutes
Approx. 200 kcal = 837 kj


Preparation:

Peel the turnips and cut into halves. Blanch them for 5 minutes in salted water, diluted with a little vinegar, then place them in the moistened RÖMERTOPF. Sprinkle with the sugar, cover with knobs of butter and drizzle with the cream. Generously season with pepper. Close the lid.
